Engagement Session at Great Plains Nature Center Wichita, KS

WESSEL & TANNEHILL ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Just like every engaged couple planning their 2020/2021 wedding, Theresa and Matt had a long time coming. Between the stress of wedding planning, they also had the pandemic to plan around. If you have been planning a wedding recently, you know just what they have and continue to go through.

Every engaged couple planning their wedding right now is trying to find the perfect balance of guests without sacrificing the safety of their loved ones. But this couple has not let that break their loving spirits. They have been a dream to work with and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding as well.

Once they could finally set a date, they were able to schedule their engagement photos at Great Plains Nature Center in Wichita, KS. During their engagement photos, they wanted to include their four-legged family member, Blue. He was such a well-behaved dog. They couldn’t dream of taking the next step in their adventure without him. During their engagement session, Matt also asked his brother, Adam, to be his best man – of course, he said yes!

As the sun fell, we walked through the nature center getting pictures in some very memorable spots. The photos on the dock are where Matt proposed to Theresa. He had flowers on both sides of the path with the sun setting right behind them. He also had some sweet music playing! He even had a friend keep watch before he could get there so other people in the park didn’t get there before him and Theresa.

After walking through the nature center a little more, we went back to the entrance so they could change. Then we got even more photos while the sun went down. From dancing to flying, the love between these two will soar; and I can’t wait to capture the rest of their love story.
